Eastern Passage , Nova Scotia

Just nine months after design was completed, 512 excited grade 7 to 9 students and their teachers moved into this fine new middle school in September 1999. Rideau Construction, the design/builders of the new school, consulted extensively with students, teachers, parents and community groups to develop a custom built learning centre tailored to Eastern Passage's particular needs.

The 83,000sq, ft. facility houses many unique design features including a double gymnasium, clustered groups of classrooms, spacious labs, fine arts, music and band practice rooms, with an overall feeling of openness. State of the art computers and the information resources centre will keep this new school at the forefront of modern education practices.
