Elmsdale, Nova Scotia

In spite of one of the most difficult winters on record, Elmsdale Elementary will be complete and ready for teachers and children to occupy on September 1, 2001 - just ten months after breaking ground.

This 48,000 sq. ft. school will have 18 classrooms and be home to primary to grade 6 students from Elmsdale and the surrounding areas. Design/built by Rideau Construction in association with Harvey & MacKenzie Architects, the school can be easily expanded as required to accommodate the area's growing population.

This building is part of the Design-Build Schools 2000 tendered by the Province of Nova Scotia.
